they have been doing this tactic for years. gotta train the cashiers to keep the money out of reach of the customer and if it is a cash transaction that large a manager needs to be called.

we are taught not to count money back and sit it on the counter so whoever trained him or her did not emphasize that and the other thing is you take so many different computer classes on there in order to be a cashier that it tells you not to do that just for this particular reason
