@tradeinvestsimplify: Is ethical investing becoming more difficult? How do you handle ethical investing? Do you have a sliding scale of what is evil enough to avoid investing in? Or do you not care as long as you get rich? It’s definitely personal and very complicated. I think it’s a balance of finding investments that you can live with while also avoiding giving money to companies that don’t align with your values

I separate it by sector. I avoid sectors that are counter to my “moral” compass and avoid companies run by individuals that flaunt racism, bigotry etc. regardless of there returns.

Here in Michigan, Nestle is evil because they steal our water & ship it outside the Great Lakes basin, causing damage to the environment by causing extremely low water levels in streams & other places

I invest but if you take the "evil" deep enough, ALL stock market investing is evil cause there is a loser on the other side of the trade.

It's an interesting topic for me. If society moves in a direction where they vote to be exploited I have less issues investing in things exploiting them because they wanted it enough to make it so

Companies raising prices on discretionary goods that have substitutes isn’t “evil”. But companies that raise prices on necessities, just because they can… those companies aren’t ethical.
