Just don't pay it. I had 30,000 to pay after insurance paid their share. I have not paid it in 10years. Now that it's been ten years they can no longer come after me because of the statue of

I had a lump removed, by surgeon, hospital in network all covered, pathology not covered. Health insurance is this biggest grift going.

I write on my forms that they MUST use an in network lab and providers. Also, make sure you understand surprise billing laws. I have used that on lab s for tissue taken when I was under anesthetic.

It could be an over charge by your gynecologist. Ask the gynecologist for a an itemized bill and make sure everything listed happened.

Call them and tell them you want to file a grievance against them for this. They will try to get you to file and appeal, tell them it will be a grievance or a complaint with the ins commission

Oh yes true I used a network doctor and network hospital for a preventative screening colonoscopy BUT the hospital used a non network anesthesiologist. Got a bill 😏 and that was years ago

My GYN'S office makes me sign a waiver acknowledging that if we actually talk about anything, there's a decent chance my insurance will not cover the full cost. 🤬

This is exactly what happens - they use 3rd party outside of your control and therefore you are billed - went to the hosp in network- all of the tech was 3rd party

Worked insurance in a hospital. A lot of physicians in a hospital may be out of network. We constantly had to fight ridiculous denials.

I have learned that if you bring up any concerns about literally anything at any preventative appt it goes from preventative appt to normal appt for billing. Never bring up anything at those appts.

Appeal appeal appeal. Are you in a ‘No surprise billing state’? It could be a really bad claim examiner/customer service person (lots of them are rewarded for being bad).

A LOT of decisions made by insurance companies don’t make sense. And they’re wrong a lot of times. You should appeal formally and ask for a detailed explanation as to why.

Was it not covered, meaning denied? Or is it applying cost share?
