The Dark Knight is....... kinda boring. Heath Ledger is the best thing in it. Outside of Joker the film drags, but Joker is so good that it elevates the whole movie.

The joker has always made Batman better as one of the main protagonists in the franchise. Heath took it to that level that was required to keep the narrative of Batman true and will forever b embodied

For specifically The Dark Knight, Aaron Eckhardt’s performance is vastly underrated. He made the film just as much as Heath imo. Also, in terms of outperforming. Cillian, Liam and Toms villains all outperformed Christian imo. I always thought Christians Batman and Bruce Wayne, got gradually worse throughout the trilogy.

The dark knight is some of the best story writing I feel I’ve seen in a movie let alone a superhero movie. Heath ledger is my favorite joker but realistically you could have a hobo as joker and the dark knight is still top tier
