The Punggol Coast MRT station will start operations this afternoon at 3pm! This new terminal station of the North East Line will serve passengers traveling to the Punggol Digital District and the Singapore Institute of Technology ’s (SIT) Punggol campus. Its opening will shorten commutes to the city center by about 15 minutes for residents living nearby. For instance, it will take about 45 minutes to travel from Punggol North to Outram Park, down from about 60 minutes previously.
