In nursing school they told us to NEVER get spine surgery if it wasn't life/death because we would be in worse pain than before for the rest of our lives

It's impossible to get pain medication, it's torture! Then we get called addicts for asking for the only pain meds that help, instead they prescrbe psychotic meds for pain!

I have this. My neck is fused C2-7, my back L4/5 and S1…. It’s a lot. Thank the Lord I had an awesome surgeon. I still live in pain but nothing like it was. PTL 🙏

there are dozens of comments on his reddit on the spondylosis sub about his surgery. he did have instability but said he felt no pain 8 days after surgery

I feel like spine surgery is such hit or miss I always here mixed reports post surgery, as someone who deals with chronic debilitating back pain d/t stenosis and herniations I can relate 100%
