@brutamerica: The Federal Trade Commission just announced that Fortnite users in the U.S. will receive refund checks after being “tricked” into making purchases in the game, which is owned by Epic Games. The FTC will distribute about 600,000 payments totaling more than $72 million to U.S. Fortnite players who were charged for unwanted purchases and filed a claim by Oct. 8, 2024. Claims filed after Oct. 8 are still being processed and reviewed. #fortnite #FTC
