These were some of the comments overheard yesterday evening while our deputies were teamed up with a very special group of boys for #HeroesAndHelpers. Heroes & Helpers is a joint effort between @target charity organizations, and first responders, where kids from under resourced situations in our community are given a $200 Target Gift Card to participate in a shopping event and have a Christmas like no other! Sheriff Hobart Lewis and several GCSO deputies, including some of our SWAT team, were honored to spend time with 8 boys from TMALDI (The Mentoring and Leadership Development Institute), founded by Pastor Curtis Ingram. TMALDI works to help mentor boys ages 7-12. When GCSO gets opportunities like this to be a part of something so special, it can be hard to tell who has more fun......our deputies or the kids! #thisisgcso
