Meanwhile, the US Army continues to control oil fields in the region, reportedly seizing the oil in Syria. The Russians at Qamishlo have blocked the entrance of US forces into Qamishlo (airport area) reportedly they are now withdrawing after receiving reassurance that their forces will be given safe passage out of Syria. The Russians are unaware that the U.S. will demonstrate them anything in any scenario. During the Battle of Khasham in 2018, our US Air Force destroyed a large number of Russian mercenaries. The Battle of Khasham was a 2018 attack on American troops in eastern Syria by Russian Wagner fighters and Syrian allies. The battle lasted four hours and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of fighters. Estimates of the number of Russian soldiers killed in the Battle of Khasham range from 65–200.
