@americanfille: Moving to France showed me that your health does not need be tied to your income, and in most other parts of the world its’s considered a basic human right. #ushealthcare #frenchhealthcare #unitedhealthcare

I was traveling for work in Finland. Got to ER in an ambulance. Was terrified of cost. Nurse said, “you don’t pay. We’re a civilized country”.

My son broke his shoulder when we were in Sweden and the were so upset that they had to bill me. It was nothing compared to what it would be in the US and the care was so quick and efficient

We have universal health care in Canada and it’s definitely NOT perfect, but I can’t imagine ignoring an issue that serious for fear of the cost. 🇫🇷🇨🇦

France has v hi taxes. Just saying that it all has to be paid for? But still, private health in US seems messed up, compared.

I got bronchitis in the US and waited way too long. (15 years ago) and had to go to the ER. I did not have insurance. They charged me $9,000.00 and that did not include prescriptions.

Live in the UK - broke my ankle. Ambulance, x-rays, boot & PT. No charge. I’ll happily pay taxes to get medical care.

That trip to the ER here would have been close to or over $3K. The US’s healthcare system sucks a$$.
