In Star Trek TNG the subspace is a dimension that exists outside the Universe, it's a highway connecting parallel Universes. That is why messages sent through the subyard arrive faster than ships traveling at Warp speed also through the subspace but at a relatively lower speed than the message speed because the ships do not yet have the technology to withstand speeds greater than Warp 10. The above explanation it's logical but purely theoretical. It's something similar from Interstellar movie.

Afaik the warp bubble doesn't move at all and it's the space around it that folds and in turn reduces the distance to the destination. Warp speed is just a comparison scale, not an actual speed.

Warp is described as folding space around the ship essentially creating a bubble in front of the ship that pulls the ship through space This would essentially put the ship on the border of subspace

I don’t get the causality argument. I understand causality, but when It is argued there is an assumption that signals have to be fasted. Why can’t something else become the cause before the signal?
