Someone once told me NT smalltalk is just like cats meowing at each other. Less about the content, more about nice noises. If I think of it this way I can tolerate it in small doses 😂 (I like cats ;)

I mask small talk with some people to be polite, but every time I do it, I have to remember how to small talk. I have these big awkward pauses because I forget what I’m supposed to say next.
