It is a place of severe punishment, mentioned many times in the Qur’an and Sunnah as a warning to mankind. Description in the Qur’an: • “Fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:24) • “Indeed, Jahannam is a place of ambush, a dwelling for the transgressors. They will remain there for ages.” (Surah An-Naba 78:21-23) Punishments in Jahannam: 1. Burning Flames – Hotter than anything in this world. 2. Boiling Water & Pus – For the inhabitants to drink. 3. Chains & Shackles – Used to bind the sinners. 4. Unbearable Regret – Knowing they could have repented. Who Will Be Saved? • Those who believe in Allah and follow Islam. • Those who repent sincerely before death. • Those whom Allah forgives through His mercy.
