@shannimarie_: DOG ABANDONED IN BRISBANE 💔 My heart is shattered that anyone could do this to an innocent animal. At 5:15 this morning, while walking my dog, I noticed a beautiful, lonely boy sitting in the park. As I got closer, I saw a lead tied to a pole—and my stomach dropped.. I hurried home to take my dog back, and rushed back to him. When I returned, he was still there, shaking with fear. The moment I approached, he bolted, too terrified to trust me. For 30 minutes, I followed him around the block, watching as he circled back to the same spot at the park—probably hoping his owner would come back for him. His lead had been strapped to the pole, and it seemed he had slipped out of it. Beside the pole was a small container, as if someone had left him water. He was so anxious, so heartbroken, it was devastating to see. My partner Chris joined me and the dog started to calm down, showing enough trust to get a lead on him. We managed to get him safe and checked at the vet. He has no microchip.. Now he’s with us, but he can’t stay.. He deserves safety, love, and a home that will never abandon him again. I’m determined to find him that home, but we can’t keep him here for long.
