The worst is when people call talking to friends about your problems "trauma dumping" or say "I'm not your therapist". Like yes you can go overboard but in general that's what friends are for???!?

Thank you for addressing the conflation of preferences and values. As a millennial, it’s been hard to connect with gen xers because they’re freakishly rigid about things like what good music is, interesting travel destinations, etc.

I disgree about not owing manners, but as for communication between freinds that’s sometimes true, we have personal boundries and whenever we want to be present we want to be “wanted” not “expected”
