When I lived in Paris I bought a desk chair and rolled it from near the Samaritain, across the seine and to my apartment near St Michele. Literally pushing a chair for a mile in Paris with tourists 😂

At this point, I’d remove the trim of the door casings as carefully as possible, get everything you need in place and put the trim back on. Patch and paint as needed. You gotta do what you gotta do.

We do a lot of things wrong in the USA but at least 99% of rentals come with appliances. It really blows my mind that the renter is expected to buy/move appliances in other countries.
