@gcsogreenvillesc: It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of K9 Tango, who died Sunday at the age of 8, due to a tumor near his heart. Tango was a Belgian Malinois who started his career in law enforcement in February of 2018. His end date of service was the day we tragically lost his handler, Sgt. Conley Jumper Jr., in October of 2020. Tango had 332 deployments, helped seize hundreds of thousands of dollars of US currency used in illegal activity, and assisted in seizing over a hundred pounds of marijuana, methamphetamines, and other drugs. K9 Tango’s contributions to our community and his bond with Sgt. Jumper was unparalleled. He will forever be remembered as a loyal partner and a cherished member of our law enforcement family.
