I think part of the problem is that people entered fandom who wouldn’t normally be there and viewed it as entertainment rather than community. They are there to consume and never contribute.

It was fanfic entitlement that got me. Someone wrote a whole ass novel for FREE! But yeah, make your own character playlist. Also love oldskool fandoms for these, so many unique songs on them.
