@abc7chicago: Whimsical footage posted by police in Pickens, South Carolina, shows the moment officers took “The Grinch” into custody after catching the fictional Dr Seuss character trying “to steal a Christmas tree and gifts” from inside a home. Pickens Police said the dramatized burglary took place on December 11, and added that “many of these incidents have been occurring around town involving a suspect described as being furry and green, wearing a Santa hat and jacket.” Body-worn camera footage shows officers entering a home and spotting the Grinch in the living room. “After a short foot pursuit and being Tasered, the suspect was taken into custody,” police said. “The Grinch has been charged with 1st-degree stealing Christmas and 3rd-degree onion breath,” they joked.
