maybe cause sometimes DV situations are worse if you call the man out openly. he could potentially decide to retaliate, get angry, follow her home etc etc

It’s just like someone calling 911 to order a pizza. It’s because if they’ve made some type of threat to them & the person is right there it gives the bartender time to walk off an call 911.

I absolutely agree. I am lucky to be alive as a DV survivor and I think about things like this constantly. This was my exact thought about the angel shot. But I also know that even when that type of thing happens, a lot of people look past things like that. There were several people that looked on and even watched instead of helping me as DV things happened in public. There were times that I prayed in my head that somebody, anybody would come help me.
