When they say postpartum is only a few months after your baby arrives, I laugh. Postpartum is a long as it takes you to feel like yourself again. As someone who’s always had flat and toned stomach before getting pregnant, one of my biggest insecurities has been my belly. Questions like, “will my core ever get back to how strong it was before?” “Will it be toned again?” And now I’m totally fine with it, whether it gets back to the way it was pre-pregnancy or not, I’m totally okay with the fact that my body brought life to this world, I’m going to be kinder to myself and love my body in the best way possible. So yeah, this is me just being vulnerable here hoping there are other moms like me who are not gonna let insecurities get the best of them anymore. Do what makes you happy. This is the first time I’d be showing my belly button since having a baby. I’m always wearing high waisted pants and skirts.
