@solargoat: Exposing the issues in the solar industry (Part 6) Installing a solar panel system quickly and correctly is a really difficult job. When plan sets always come back incorrect, when supply shop skimps you on parts, when the sight visits use bs photos for engineering and so much more. I really empathize with installers. They have a really difficult job that takes a lot of mental toughness and talent. Its about get the job done or multiple done when their schedules are loaded up in their boss is putting pressure on them while finding ways to cut their pay. I don’t think that the solar industry is all bad. I just want to bring awareness to the issues that I’m constantly seeing so we can address them. I think we all have a responsibility whether it’s the homeowner saying no to the scamy company, or installers weeding out the bad products, correcting the industry bad practices. Couldn’t agree more! I had a company let me go because of the supervisors pettiness. For them to call me a few months later to tell me the company can’t find someone with my experience.
