This town is the birthplace of Kunio Yanagida, who is considered the father of Japanese folklore. The entire town honors his achievements and makes yokai culture a pillar of local development. It was great fun to ride around the town on a bicycle with a yokai map in hand! A yokai suddenly appears out of the pond! You can also do a stamp rally if you buy a mount at the tourist center. Figures of yokai that have been photographed in the town are also on display. All of them are cute, so please come here and take a look!
