the dance of alhacha in Sumerian mythology (ancient iraq) is the story of the sacrificial girl (the offering to the Moon God). She usually holds two swords or daggers which she uses during the dance. After exhausting herself and collapsing to the ground with the pounding of drums, she begins to deliver deadly stabs to her body and falls to the ground from fatigue and weariness. Then she is slaughtered and offered as a sacrifice to the Moon God to gain his favor and forgiveness ,, it is a painful expression one of the most agonizing rituals for the most beautiful dance.
