Another cue that my PT taught me was to back my calves up to a low bench or box and imagine gluing my calves in place. Not allowing them to come off whatsoever. Helped tremendously!

i do single legs, one leg standing and the other on the wall, then do the rdl. The burn in your glutes is real.
