This is NOT the total amount of H1bs at the company just the total number of H1bs initially granted for this year. The numbers are in the 10 thousands for most tech companies

h1b is not the same as offshoring!! tons of companies don’t like h1b bc it costs more (paying competitive salary, sponsorship costs, and the worker may leave if they lose the lottery)
