@ismailkucuker_: Our patient came from the USA 🇺🇸. She had a big humped nose with a droopy tip. These noses can create big differences after the surgery. The face becomes more proportional. Also, as this nose's memory is always to become droopy, in this nose type we tend to place more tip support and go out in the tip a bit more rotated than it should be. Here is a good explanation why noses stay a bit more upturned than needed in splint removal. In my surgical technique, nasal tips are supported by cross-extension cartilage grafts plus septal support techniques, which are positioned by PDS surgical sutures. These surgical sutures are self-degrading but maintain their full strength for 3 weeks. Then degradation begins and the suture starts losing its power after 3 weeks. Then in two months, the suture loses nearly 80-90% of its strength and totally degrades in 6 months. That is why in the cast removal, noses tend to stay a bit over-rotated and then start to come down more after 3 weeks. Then in two months, 80-90% of the position is set, but the final tip position occurs after 6 months.
