@abc7chicago: One person was killed and seven were injured when a Tesla Cybertruck exploded and caught fire outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on January 1, local police said. Footage captured by Ayaka Skinner, a guest at the hotel, shows the vehicle engulfed in flames as seen from the lobby. According to Sheriff Kevin McMahill from the LVMPD, the Cybertruck was rented in Colorado and arrived in Las Vegas at around 7:30 am. It was driven up and down Las Vegas Boulevard for about an hour, before it pulled into the valet area of the Trump Hotel, where it exploded. The driver of the Cybertruck was identified by police as Matthew Livelsberger, a 37-year-old active-duty Army soldier from Colorado Springs, who authorities said acted alone. According to a post on X by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Livelsberger died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The FBI said on January 2 that there was “no definitive link” between the incident in Las Vegas and the New Orleans vehicle attack which left 15 people dead. #news #cybertruck #fire #trumphotel
