6 different high school preps is insane! Not only can rigor be completely different but so can the subject. When I taught middle school CTE I had 3 completely different courses.

I had 14 preps (private special needs school). I could have 4 preps in 1 class period and adjust accordingly in a single period. it was nuts 😳

At a new district my supervisor forgot to give me any info about my induction except for meeting with my mentor. Half way through the year I got a letter saying I had missed all induction meetings.

I was a para at a private ESE school. I was asked to long term sub a 6th grade class, responsible for planning and delivering the curriculum for 6 of 7 classes. It was only supposed to be 2 mos max.

I taught 3 grades, two subjects, had 54 IEPs and 32 504s my first ( and last year). It was so bad my school eliminated the position after I left because it was just too much.

I was a CTE teacher, I had five preps, and also no mentor my first year! not to mention the fact that I was located in a different building from my principal so I got forgotten very frequently. 😭
