I don't feel pleasure after workouts or hard tasks either. Neurodivergent brains often process dopamine differently, so this research might not apply to everyone.

it would make more sense if the baseline raises if you're constantly overstimulating. then you need more to get stimulated and fall into negative faster - baseline is higher.

This is true. Facts. It may hurt to get up and one but once I do move and do hard stuff, I feel incredible. I was debating this balance before watching this 🤯

You can also move your base line by removing the over stimulation - essentially a dopamine detox 🙏🏼🙏🏼wanted to add that

the thing about workout is also that physical exercise make you produce endorfines, because it used to save your life (hunting etc), so it makes you feel good, so it's not just about pain

That makes sense. Also I would argue that doing something painful could be like just not doing something instantly gratifying or fasting in various ways and just working hard.

off course right for so many people ... the balance may not have the same magnitude but our brain tries to make balance i.e what we say Homeostasis .

Saw a content creator say this is why sin feels good at first and why obtaining from it is better. It’s hard to not sin. God wired our brains to feel good when trying to abstain from sin

I don't know how else to say this but, that is simply not how it works. If this was true, prison inmates would be at a constant high happy level.
