@abc7chicago: A Kansas Highway Patrol trooper took to social media to demonstrate just how slippery roads in the area were on Saturday, January 4, and to urge drivers to stay home. While responding to a rolled-over semi in McPherson County, Trooper Ben Gardner deliberately slid across several feet of roadway in his shoes to illustrate how icy the surface was beneath him. “It’s not getting any better, it’s getting worse,” Gardner says in the footage. “So, get off the roads. Don’t be on ‘em, ‘cause it’s not good.”
