@philipdefranco: Trudeau Resigns As Prime Minister #canada #usa Justin Trudeau will resign as party leader of the Liberal Party, but he will stay on as Prime Minister until a new one is selected. With Trudeau saying “This country deserves a real choice in the next election … and it has become clear to me that I can not be the best option in that election” Trudeau’s political future was sent into a tailspin when his top lieutenant resigned as finance minister and deputy prime minister last month. In her resignation she said that she and Trudeau had been at odds on how to deal with the incoming President Trump – with her imploring him to work with the country’s premiers to take on Trump’s tariffs threat. On top of that, his popularity has been dipping for two years over anger about high prices and a house shortage.
incoming people who understand that we don't choose our pm we choose the party

Change comes from the top. Losing to Czechia in the quarterfinals two world juniors in a row was just a step too far

At the end of the day, I don’t know about any of the candidates. With everything that’s been happening with obvious corruption across all parties both in Canada and the US, how do we trust any of them

it is infuriating that he says he regrets not pushing electoral reform with the ranked ballot, when that is literally what he ran on.

Every party in Canada complains about first past the post when it doesn’t benefit them. He had 9 years to push that change but never did. I wonder if it’s because it’s part of the reason he kept getting reelected.

A lot of conservatives here blame him for things that are a result of conservative governments at other levels. Sadly we're gonna follow the states and go conservative barring a miracle.

What’s really disappointing is after 9 years of PMJT this was the first time I can recall he mentioned pro-rep voting even though that was a huge campaign promise back in 2015.
