Can I ask if this is a good ending? Like my main character grew up with her very cruel father he is king of the kingdom and wants to see everyone else dead so he can rule alone. (1)

Actually seems like a good trick to figure out how to write the first chapter, which is what I'm really struggling with right now. I know pretty much how to end it but start? Frustrating!

Guys, how do you guys write yours? In order? out of order? Im writing a monster of the week type of story and I started probably on what will end up being the 2nd or 3rd scene of the first chapter.

Isn’t is something done in Harry Potter ? I feel like the situation of beginning of the year vs end of the year - going back to his aunt & uncle could apply to the mirror theory ?

This gives me hope for my ending! The opening scene is my MC being given power to rule over another planet in the solar system. The ending scene has him as a grunt worker-but happy.
