It’s going to cause more fluid build up and a swollen limb rather than immediate bruising. As long as you keep your arm out of weird positions such as having your arm bent for an extended period of time while you have an IV in your AC, you should be fine. They also have arm boards to keep your arm from doing that, especially while you sleep
