For bows mending is honestly worse than infinity. If you get infinity you can still repair your bow at an anvil which costs nothing but string, sticks, and some levels.

Mending ruins minecraft. There's no point collecting any resources after you get mending on your gear. Like i got stacks of diamonds with no use cuz i have maxed out gear.
