From my SWE job alone I make $365k base salary. Bonus is like 12%-17%, no stocks. Then I teach on the side and I make $$ from that as well. I believe the guy.

He’s probably telling the truth. Big tech does pay that range, and if you listen closely he’s also right that you can be self taught without any college and still earn that salary as an engineer.

3-4 years experience gets 500k is definitely on the high end, especially in GA. 150k - 250k would be normal

Ppl not believing his salary forget that 3-4 yrs experience makes him a 2021 grad when ppl were getting hired from boot camps. With a GT education and proper results 500k WAS achievable.

I make about 500k in tech too. But I was lucky to have graduated during a good economy and chose to grind. Not sure I could do it starting again in todays tech economy.
