Yeah cause the 1000 cellphone once every 3 or 4 years is the reason we can’t buy a 1 million dollar starter home.

Wages wages wages; the fact that in some states 7$ an hour is an acceptable wage. Saw a post from a waitress saying her hourly rate was $2 an hour justified because she gets tips.

Honestly, smart phones aren’t even privileges anymore. They’re so integrated into almost every aspect of life that they’ve become a necessity

this is why I'm glad I live in Pennsylvania and rent food gas and wages are affordable. if someone made $20 to $25 an hour is excellent money

if I saved the value of that cell phone every year for 30 years, I would still not have enough money to buy a house.

Simple. We get wages up when the shareholders/ceos/execs are willing to take a cut in what they get from us.

its not necessarily that we need to get wages up even, it is getting the cost of everything down

You know what you're right? If I didn't constantly hear how companies are breaking their records and profit, I wouldn't complain as much

yes, but people believe raising minimum wage will fix the issue but in reality the cost of everything increases and typically jobs that already were more than min. wage, don't see a wage increase

Nah genuinely I've gotten lucky with my situation, but still 20/hour isn't enough for me to be able to live on my own, let alone buy a house
