2 3/4 was all I shot for many years... now its only 3" because the 2 3/4 is hard to find... it's only a matter of several pellets different

I’ll choose 1 1/2 ounce in a 10ga over same load in 3 1/2 12ga any day. They pattern better at distance and have better terminal ballistics at distance

More impact energy doesn't mean more penetration. Look for the volume of the wound channel in the jell. That's more indicative of impact energy

Was filming an A frame goose hunt. After everyone was done missing the 3 pack, I threw down my 360cam and pickup the 3.5 LR choke and dropped both birds escaping. Pellets and range not penetration.
