I remember walking in the rain for 3 miles to 3 miles back to Toys R Us to buy my Sega Genesis system with Madden game and LHX helicopter game. I was in MS, didn't have a car. $ earned doing chores

I remember mailing the info and for some reason they sent us 3. It had a “not for resale” sticker we peeled off right away and ended up getting credit at GameStop and got MK and later Aladdin hehehe

Thats the exact Genesis I had, with a packed in Sonic 1. You had to fill out a form & mail it out to get the Sonic 2, they had a nifty “Not For Resale” sticker on them.
