I'm so sorry 😔. My parents house caught fire a few years ago and, although it didn't completely burn down, the ash, smoke and water damage made the house unlivable for months.

If you can, get a Dyson air purifier when you get back. Wash every thing, shampoo the rugs, scrub the walls, it comes back together faster than you think (fire survivor here)
