After her release, she was exited back to homelessness, where she began using drugs again. Now, she’s trying to restart her path to recovery. The irony is that House Bill 5, which criminalizes homelessness, is actually worsening the crisis it claims to address.

This is awful. In CA we have millions of dollars that supposedly went to all these non profits. This has been going on for years and yet the homeless count increases year after year.
