I can head off an anxiety attack usually. But out of the blue panic attacks not so much. Almost called 911 when one woke me up.

I was diagnosed with a panic disorder about 10 years ago and what helps me the most is my husband counting with me and asking me questions it relieves it almost every time. Plus cold compress on neck.

Every time I have a panic attack I usually let someone close to me know like my husband or my coworker and they know that if they can talk to me for a little bit that it will eventually dissipate. Thank you for sharing this.

there's a step further too. after the seated bit, have them do the senses test. name something they can see, smell, hear, taste, and touch to help them stay grounded. helped me many times
