Are hydrants anywhere designed to be turned on all over the city at the same time? Legitimate question. I am picturing it like turning on all the taps at once and having no pressure

I seen they have 4,000,000 water tank, I don’t know if that’s true but if you have 5 fire engines that have 1250 gallon per minute pump. Just at that rate tank would be empty in 11 hrs.

it's really heart breaking to see what's happening there ever day because it's clear there should have been more support given by other agencies but actually they were truned away government officials all because of there vehicle didn't meet some requirements 😢

In our rural town, our municipality is responsible for testing the hydrants. They are color coded by their pressure. Is it different in bigger cities? Maybe that’s the result of the budget cuts?

More hydrants would make it worse, the fire guys should have basic concept of water systems, ya can’t pump more out then what can be pumped in or how fast the water towers can refill
