I used to be one of the only subbed people but that was before English voice acting got better. At this point either one is fine but in the 90’s 2000’s dubs seriously sucked

I respect anyone who is willing to watch. But my reasoning for sticking to sub is that Japanese nuances don’t translate well in English imo. I have no hate for anyone else, I just have what I like

I prefer sub, but why should anybody be mad about how other people watch. What they do literally doesn’t matter to our lives. I’m just glad the anime is getting more love which leads to more seasons!

Not as bad as it used to be but I still hear plenty of ppl complain about it. Idk why I would want to watch a show where I have to look at the words more then the show itself

I watch only sub because when dubbed into English the localization is aggregious and lots of meaning and nuance is lost.

It depends on the voices for me. Some Japanese voice actor’s and some English voice actor’s characters have hella annoying voices and I just can’t do it.

It depends on the anime tbh. Like one piece I have to watched dubbed because it’s too long for me to wanna read that much, but my first anime I watched was CSM where I watched the sub and I loved it

Probably more along the lines of the dubs are more accurate translations that stick to the original scripts and names…

I’m typically sub, but certain anime are better dub. I mean DBZ dub is so iconic, it’s hard to hear it any other way. I never understood the elitist notion that you HAVE to watch sub though.

Me personally I watch about 40% sub, 60% dub according to my list. I watch most new shows subbed so I don't have to wait, though I prefer action and comedies in dub typically. Romance either/or.
