When I was in high school, I worked at a Roy Rogers, and there was a deaf family who would sometimes come through the drive-thru. They always handed us a note with their order written on it. I didn’t care how long it took to make sure everything was just right. I was just happy to help and make sure they felt welcomed and valued. That experience taught me how important patience and kindness are, no matter how busy things get.

What they did was legal unfortunately. They didn’t deny her service, they accommodated her order based on company policy

dunkin states, in their policy, as long as a CLEAR COMMUNICATION is seen i.e text, they can not discriminate. if she shows notes through the drive-thru, they can't tell her "we won't fulfill your order at the drive through, you have to come inside." plus. if it was busy inside, it would make it worse to try to get in and out. thus, discrimination against using the drive thru.
