it is so nice that you gave them a chance to "know". when we lost our 1st furbaby we didn't know about that and our male dog was inconsolable for a very long time. he searched for her for weeks

We had two dogs that we got together. We has to put one down at 16, a year before the other. We brought her home and put her down so the other dog could sniff her and realize where she went. 💔

When my heart dog took his last breath at home, our other dog came and laid with him for the longest time. We let her decide when she was ready to move.

When we put our dog down, our other dog did the same thing she went and sat with him, snipped him and kissed him, etc., and then we buried him. She would still go to the spot where he was buried.
