I put conditioner and a drop of oil to loosen to comb out before washing. Then wash and do a deep conditioner and combine through then rinse.

Cut the end of the braid where you think her hair stops at, once you take the braid down, you can chose to comb out the build up.. will be easier to wash

You can go to a braid shop and get a braid take down service. I’m in and out in like 2 hours max. Then i come home and detangle and shampoo.

Comb it out as you go… every 2-4 braids. It helps with less breakage than doing her whole head at the end
