Would there be a way to ‘frame’ another printer? By somehow printing the yellow encoding for another printer. Or convincing your own printer it had a different serial number?

Most printers today font let you print in B&W without color ink, bc they still print the tiny yellow markers even on black and white.

As a child around 1998 got our first scanner and colour printer. First thing Dad scanned was a £20 note, printed out with a black background and used up all the ink.
