Let’s break this down ↓ 1- back up your Instagram account: This is a good practice to have in place because if something were to ever happen you’d have all of your content! Note: you can actually turn it on to backup on a recurring basis vs just once! Go to your profile> hamburger menu in top right> 2- build your email list: You don’t own your social media account which means that you have no control over what happens to it. It could be deactivated, the platform could disappear (or get banned, hello TikTok), and the list goes on Your email list is an owned asset so a large part of your Instagram strategy each month should be to drive traffic from IG to your email list (DM automation is the best way to do this!) 3- cross-post to other platforms: One of the easiest things you can do is repost your IG content to other platforms Not only does this increase your visibility it also gives you a space to go to in case someone happens to your IG Comment “TOOL” if you want a link to the tool I use to repost my content for me automatically 4- increase website traffic: First off this means you need to have a website! I don’t think you need one day 1 of your business but within the first year it’s something good to get set up & then optimize it for SEO so you have passive traffic finding you at all times Bonus points if you have some blog posts up on your website as well to help with traffic! 5- network in person: Don’t get so busy building online that you forget about the whole offline world (I know, surprise! There is one)! Take time to go to events, meet your community in person, teach in person 6- build communities (free or paid) off social media: I love social media but you want to have a place where people can connect with you and each other Think FB group vibe but off of a social media platform Substack, patreon, kajabi communities, and circle are all great for this! Kajabi communities is what I use personally and couldn’t recommend enough 7- guest podcast and start a YouTube channel To help increase visibility and put yourself in places where your content can be found for months and years to come. This would be like a 1-2x a month thing
