You can always tell who has a self taught Backhandspring from a backyard trampoline, if your dancer has a mega double bounce that’s usually a clear sign. But a slight double bounce is pretty much standard in the learning phase otherwise. Pay attention to the weight in the foot, the tracking of the big toe and the transfer of weight low long and fast in your backhandspring sits.
